88 RISING CELERATES YEAR OF THE TIGER WITH DOUBLE HAPPINESS

RECENTLY, the pioneering Asian music and media company 88rising announces Double Happiness, a global digital festival celebrating the Year of the Tiger on February 4th, 2022 at 7 pm PT.  


The broadcast, which can be watched via Facebook, YouTube, and 88rising Radio on SiriusXM (Ch 305), feature exclusive, visually stunning performances from artists all over the world.  

A special headline performance from Jackson Wang was presented by official spirits partner Hennessy X.O.  


The full  list of participating artists – streaming from cities around the globe includes Jackson Wang, MINO, Woosung, Audrey Nuna, Stephanie Poetri, Warren Hue, Seori, MILLI, Adawa, Alex Porat, Mỹ Anh, Shayiting EL, Youngohm, Yuzhen.

Presented by Lexus, with additional sponsorship support from Injective Labs, 88rising’s Double Happiness livestream celebration is another incredible music experience by 88rising. 


Donations from the stream will support Asian Mental Health Collective, who creates a supportive and empathetic community; collaborates with mental health professionals and organizations; and celebrates mental health stories as Asians


This livestream follows the massive success of the group’s Asia Rising Together virtual event from last year with 5 million viewers, which was recognized with a Gold Shorty Award


Asia Rising Together centered around intimate musical performances, family and culture, and spotlighted AAPI local businesses and causes, celebrating and uplifting the global Asian and AAPI community. 


The success of Asia Rising Together followed 2020’s groundbreaking Asia Rising Forever livestream which became the #1 trending topic on both YouTube and Twitter while it was streamed with 8.5 million viewers.  


The luxury automotive brand Lexus co-created content with 88rising for the livestream and is its presenting sponsor.



“Lexus and 88rising have a shared vision of increasing Asian visibility and representation in the arts and entertainment world,” said Vinay Shahani, Lexus VP of Marketing. 


“We are thrilled to work with 88rising to launch this global event, promote talented Asian artists, and honor the traditions of this meaningful holiday,” he said.


88rising also produced one of the most exciting new festivals on the west coast, Head In The Clouds, in partnership with Goldenvoice this past November. 


The two-day festival featured incredible Asian talent from every genre, from K-Pop to indie rock, and showcased the collective’s impeccable curation, from the lineup to the local food vendors.

It was also recently announced that 88rising will be presenting Head In The Clouds Forever, a historic, live experience culmination of what 88rising represents, at this year’s Coachella.  


88rising’s events are just one of the many ways the group champions Asian and Asian American talent and stories.
