MALAYSIA STRENGTHENS AEROSPACE VISION AHEAD OF MYAEROSPACE SUMMIT 2026!
MyAERO Summit returns in 2026, solidifying its status as the definitive hub for Malaysia’s thriving aerospace sector.
The official soft launch took place recently at Menara MITI in Kuala Lumpur, officiated by YB Sim Sze Tzin, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade & Industry with the presence of the Chief Executive Officer of National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia (NAICO Malaysia), Ts, Dr. Shamsul Kamsr Abu Samah as well as industry leaders.
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Investment, Trade & Industry (MITI), this flagship event is a collaborative effort between NAICO Malaysia and Moonman Events Sdn Bhd, reflecting the industry's continued evolution toward global competitiveness.
In tandem with the sector’s exponential and rapid growth, MyAERO Summit 2026 shifts to an expansive and larger space this year on the grounds and event halls at MAEPS, Serdang.
The summit will take place over three days, from 25 to 27 June 2026 whilst the first two days are dedicated trade days, providing a focused platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and businesses to engage in strategic discussions, partnerships, and deal-making.
The third and final day will be open to the public, offering broader audiences the opportunity to experience the latest developments in aerospace innovation.
This structure is designed to maximise engagement, networking opportunities, and value creation for all exhibitors and participants.
“The aerospace sector remains a strategic industry for Malaysia. Our aspirations for the industry are clearly outlined in the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030 (MAIB 2030), which serves as the roadmap to position Malaysia as a leading aerospace hub in the region,” noted Sim in his keynote address during the soft launch.
Like past editions, MyAERO Summit 2026 retains its core ethos of covering the aerospace industry, including future mobility and innovations in aerospace and astronautics technology.
This makes the event an ideal gateway to ASEAN’s aerospace growth, bringing together OEMs, solution providers, regulators, and the public under a singular curated experience.
Over 600 stakeholders from across the local aerospace ecosystem are set to benefit from this summit, which also aligns with the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030) set by MITI.

Included amongst said potential benefactors are over 270 aerospace-related companies with up to 30,000 highly skilled jobs that also generates RM25 billion in industry output annually.
Recognised as a high-growth, high-value (HGHV) sector, Malaysia’s aerospace industry is firmly positioned within the global supply chain, which was valued at approximately USD384.1 billion in 2025.
“The Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) segment continues to be the backbone of our industry, contributing approximately RM12 billion, while the aerospace manufacturing segment contributes about RM8 billion in 2024, with strong potential for further growth in areas such as aerostructures, composites, and advanced manufacturing,” Sim added further whilst emphasising the summit’s underlying key role of expanding MRO leadership.
Guided by the MAIB 2030 plan mentioned, the summit will cast spotlights on six core pillars of the industry which encompasses aerospace supply chain, sustainability and green aviation initiatives, advanced air mobility, engagement and education pathways, not forgetting showcases for both emerging technologies plus space and satellite tech.
For NAICO Malaysia, MyAERO Summit 2026 will see the agency to continue forging the future for Malaysia’s aerospace sector.
Meanwhile. speaking ahead of the summit, Dr. Shamsul Kamar in his opening speech emphasised that the continued progress of the sector depends on alignment among stakeholders across the aerospace ecosystem.
The summit serves as a launchpad for it to concentrate on further nurturing the aerospace supply chain, talent development, promoting tech adoption, as well as fostering international collaborations.
The agency firmly believes Malaysia has built a strong aerospace foundation, and the natural next step to which is to scale the ecosystem further.
“Platforms like MyAerospace Summit are where this alignment begins — where ideas are shared, tested and refined, and where the future of Malaysia’s aerospace industry is shaped,” he said.
He called on industry stakeholders not only to attend the summit, but also to actively contribute to shaping the industry’s future.
Shamsul added that building a resilient aerospace ecosystem will require collective commitment and collaboration across the industry. He also reminded industry players that progress often begins with vision and determination.
“The realities of today were the dreams of yesterday, and the dreams of today shall become the realities of tomorrow,” said Shamsul, urging stakeholders to seize the opportunity to shape the future of the industry at the MyAerospace Summit 2026.
