GIANT BUKIT TINGGI RINGS IN LUNAR NEW YEAR WITH PROSPERITY & UNITY CEREMONY!
AFTER a day of festive celebrations at Giant Kinrara, Giant Bukit Tinggi, Klang continued the Lunar New Year festivities with its own Yee Sang tossing ceremony on 6 February 2026, bringing together community leaders, tenants, government representatives, business partners, media, and stakeholders to mark the start of the Year of the Fire Horse.

The morning’s festivities was graced by notable figures including Pandamaran Assemblyman, Andy Chen and the Chief Executive Officer of GCH Retail Malaysia, Cheah Yong Hock.
Their presence, alongside senior management and key retail tenants, underscored the event's dual purpose: celebrating deep-seated traditions while reinforcing the professional bonds that drive the local economy.
The ceremony was not merely a seasonal gesture but a strategic affirmation of Giant’s role as a cornerstone of the Klang community.
In her opening address, Rebecca Phan, Head of Leasing and Business Development of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, addressed the gathering by emphasizing the deeper meaning behind the "Lou Hei" ritual.
She noted that the act of tossing the Yee Sang serves as a powerful metaphor for the unity and collaboration required to build a vibrant retail ecosystem.

Following the official speeches and a commemorative group photo session, guests gathered for the highlight of the event: the ceremonial tossing of the Yee Sang.
The festivities reached a crescendo with a dynamic lion dance performance, which featured a unique horse mascot, drawing crowds at the main event area and signaling a spirited start to the new year.
