HONG KONG AUTOMATIVE POWERHOUSE LANDS IN MALAYSIA, UNVEILS NEW FORD RANGER RAPTOR!

looking for a performance pickup truck and immediate savings have a limited window of opportunity following a major announcement in the local automotive market recently. 


Kam Lung Motor Group (KLM), a leading Hong Kong-based luxury automotive group, officially marked its entry into Malaysia by taking over the management of the Ford Petaling Jaya showroom, and simultaneously soft-launched a powerful new variant: the Ford Ranger Raptor Sport 3.0L V6 Ecoboost 4WD 10AT. 


To celebrate this dual event, KLM is offering up to RM3,000 in rebates and a free vehicle service for new customers, alongside substantial maintenance discounts for existing Ford owners.


The celebratory benefits are tied directly to the formal management handover from Sime Darby Auto Connexion Sdn Bhd (SDAC) to Kam Lung Motor Group Sdn Bhd. 


In his address, KLM Managing Director, Peter Goh, highlighted the significance of the move, noting that for over 40 years, the group has established itself across Greater China including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan—with top-notch service and a passion for cars.



“Today is a big deal—not just for Ford PJ, but for the entire Kam Lung Motor Group (HK) Ltd, as we plant our very first flag here in Malaysia. With 36 facilities, 14 iconic brands, and over 2,300 hardworking staff, we’ve kept more than 260,000 customers happy and have driven a group turnover of around US$2.0 billion,” said Goh during the Ford Petaling Jaya Exclusive Event & Soft Launch of the new variant, Ford Ranger Raptor vehicle held at the Petaling Jaya Ford showroom recently.


Kam Lung Motor Group (KLM) is a Hong Kong-based luxury automotive group established in 1983, with business operations expanding throughout the Greater Bay Area (a city cluster comprising nine mainland cities - Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, and Zhaoqing) and the two Special Administrative Regions (SARs) of Hong Kong and Macao.


It is a major distributor of many luxury and mainstream brands, across Hong Kong and mainland China.

“Ford PJ is our first step in making that happen. We’ve got to give a shout-out to Sime Darby Auto Connexion for their great work with Ford so far. We’re here to build on that foundation—and we’re not just talking. In fact, we will soon begin a full makeover of this facility to create a modern, customer-centric space worthy of the Ford name, “ added Goh confidently.


Sharing his personal experience with Ford vehicle Goh gleefully reminisced, ‘My very first car was a Ford Anglia, bought while I was studying in the UK in 1974. For those unfamiliar, the Anglia is the charming little car that flies in the Harry Potter films. But long before it took to the skies on screen, it took me across many parts of the UK—humble, reliable, and unforgettable. That car sparked my lifelong admiration for Ford’s cars and design.”



The star of the event, the all-new Ford Ranger Raptor Sport 3.0L V6 Ecoboost 4WD 10AT, was unveiled as a vehicle that embodies power and precision. 


It features a high-performance 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo Ecoboost engine, built for demanding urban and off-road adventures, alongside distinctive styling elements such as 17” Beadlock Style Wheels, Raptor Sport Decals, and a Raptor Sport Hoop. 


The vehicle carries an approved selling price of RM 273,888.00.



“Let’s be honest - I  still think Ford makes the best-looking pickup on the road. The Ford Ranger—especially the Raptor—is bold, athletic, and unmistakably Ford. It isn’t just a pick-truck, it’s a statement. It’s the kind of vehicle that says, I mean business … but I also know how to have fun.


Its truly a vehicle that embodies power, precision, and personality. This new Ranger Raptor is not just a product launch — it’s a statement of intent,” Goh pressed on while unveiling the  most advanced Ford Ranger Raptor.


Beyond the initial rebates for new Raptor bookings made between November 15 and 30, 2025, KLM is also extending generosity to its existing customer base, offering a significant 50% discount on engine oil, oil filter, and labour for vehicle servicing.



To ensure a smooth purchase experience this weekend, on-site bank partners are available to facilitate immediate loan approvals, and all attendees are eligible for free Ford merchandise while stocks last. 


Reflecting their belief that the Ford experience should be shared across generations, KLM also ensured the event included a Family Fun Zone with children’s activities and games including a coloring contest.
